Toyota Corolla 2014

2013 has only seen the end of its second quarter, but the world is already talking about the new look of Toyota Corolla 2014. The upcoming vehicle is the most revolutionary model of Toyota Corolla which the world has ever seen. From the external shape to the interior, everything has been redesigned.

This is the 11th generation of Toyota Corolla automobiles in the world. The new design is more dynamic and stylish than the preceding ones. Corolla has always been a practical car, but in 2014, it will also be more stylish with its new magnificent exterior. Instead of Corolla’s conventional design which the world has been seeing for generations, the new look will be rather sportier.

Starting from the front, there are slimmer headlights with LED beams. Plastic has been replaced with glass owing to the comparatively cooler temperature of LED. So, the 2014 model has a front which looks lighter and sleeker. The same old boring design has been replaced by this new, slightly sporty look.

Toyota Furia Concept revealed a compact car for 2014. Despite being compact, the new Corolla is more spacious than its predecessors. It is a little longer as well as wider than the preceding generations. The wheelbase is approximately 3.93 inches longer.

The car has a gracefully designed interior, lavished with comfort of the users, making it a perfect ride for long drives with the folks. It has been gifted with the new G10B EFi engine, and its transmission is 5-speed all synchromesh. Audi A3

Audi A3

What is it? The next iteration of Audi’s smallest car, the A3, will hit the showrooms as a four-door sedan, replacing the current A3’s hatchback-only configuration. It’s a compact luxury car one size down from Audi’s best-seller, the A4, and it’s positioned to compete against Mercedes’ newest entry in this niche, the CLA, and the Lexus IS.
What's new or notable? The A3 sedan has coupe-like styling and it’s six inches longer than the hatchback, with a wheelbase that’s about two inches longer. That could translate into some badly needed rear-seat legroom. It’s still a small car but will come loaded with luxury features and optional Quattro all-wheel drive.
Power comes from newly reworked four-cylinder engines, two gasoline-powered and the other a diesel. The base engine is a 180-hp,  turbocharged 1.8-liter direct-injection engine and the up-level is a 2.0-liter using the same technology. The 2.0-liter diesel version, called TDI in Audi/VW speak, is said to be good for 150-hp.
The driver information display and optional navigation system use high-resolution 3-D graphics, the latter on a seven-inch screen.
The A3 will also offer Audi’s latest MMI (multi media interface) infotainment system and Audi Connect, which  provides internet-based navigation, weather and gas prices, and a WiFi hotspot so backseat passengers can go online too.
A sporty S3 version will arrive some time after the A3, equipped with a 2.0-liter engine said to be good for about 300-hp. A Hybrid Sportback version, which resembles the current A3, will eventually debut as a plug-in hybrid model, using a drivetrain similar to what powers the Volkswagen Jetta Hybrid.
CR’s take: A small, all-wheel-drive luxury car with and sporty handling certainly has appeal, and the diesel version should get terrific fuel economy. Prices haven’t been announced but we estimate that they’ll start in the $30,000 range.

Acura ILX

What is it? Acura is the latest premium brand to introduce a smaller, entry-level model with the ILX. The ILX is derived from a global platform shared with the Honda Civic, though the sheetmetal and overall tuning are strictly Acura.
The ILX will be offered with three four-cylinder engines.  A 150-hp, 2.0-liter and five-speed automatic with an EPA-estimated 24 city/32 highway mpg, 111-hp, 1.5-liter hybrid and continuously variable transmission with an EPA-estimated 35 city/38 highway mpg and 201-hp, 2.4-liter and six-speed manual with an EPA-estimated 20 city/29 highway mpg.

The ILX will offer a variety of luxury features, such as keyless entry and push-button start, Pandora Internet radio, and text message playback.
What is new or notable? With the ILX, Acura returns to a segment once occupied by the Intregra. It does so with the brand’s first hybrid and the Acura-equivalent of a Honda Si variant, or a more rightly named, a Type S.
The ILX will be built in Indiana.
