Mercedes E-Class (W212)

Mercedes E-Class (W212)

Current Mercedes E-Class (W212) is now four years old. Launched in 2009, both internationally and in India soon ready to receive an update mid-life. Mercedes gives the models a facelift usually sizeable mid-life cycle, and all new engines are also implemented by the German company at the same time.

A great change of style will return two headlights instead of the current four. There will also be a new front bumper, grille and hood, which will see the new E is very different from the current car. Other important changes include skins back door, wings, and tail lights.

The new E-Class retains the basic architecture inside the car now, although there have been efforts to improve quality. Even higher grade material support seats, new instrument graphics and tables, and an enhanced multimedia have been adopted.
New engines to be added to the range at international level include M274 (essentially the same as the M270 mounted transversely Class B, but redesigned for longitudinal mounting and rear-wheel drive). Turbo petrol engines include a 156bhp 1.6 for the base 180 and a 2.0-liter engine that generates 181bhp, 208bhp and 248bhp in the E 200, E 250 of the 350 new e, respectively. India could have the E 250 and E 350. A new bi-turbo 335bhp 3.0 V6 will be included in the new E 400 - is 34bhp more than the normally aspirated unit E 350 above.
The 2.1-liter turbodiesel with 134bhp continue, 168bhp and 201bhp in the E 200 CDI, E 220 CDI and E 250 CDI respectively - diesel 220 and 250 are planned for India. A 3.0-liter V6 that makes 261bhp and 227bhp diesel starts the E 300 CDI and E 350.
